Westminster Sewer Construction Update – November 17, 2021

Home >> News >> Westminster Sewer Construction Update – November 17, 2021

The project will replace and reconstruct nearly three miles of two regional sewer pipelines on Westminster Boulevard between Seal Beach Boulevard and Rancho Road/Hammon Place in the cities of Seal Beach and Westminster.  One pipeline will be replaced at a time while the other pipeline is in service 24/7 to collect and transport wastewater for treatment and recycling.

The Neighborhood Bulletin was created to provide an update and learn more about the project.  Did you know approximately 8 million gallons per day, on average, travels through the sewer pipeline system that is currently in construction?  The project replaces two parallel pipelines using open cut and slip-lining construction methods and the Neighborhood Bulletin explains what these methods are and what their differences.  Check it out.
