This portion of the work will rehabilitate the siphons, or pipelines, that go under the Barber City Channel at the Rancho Road intersection in the City of Westminster. Temporary piping has been installed across the intersection to bypass, or reroute, flows out of the siphons.
Wastewater flows are bypassed out of the pipeline and the cured-in-place pipe method will be used for pipeline rehabilitation. A pre-measured liner is delivered in a refrigerated truck and inserted into the existing pipeline. Once the liner has been inserted, it is filled with water and cured for approximately 12 hours. When fully cured, the liner now acts as the new pipeline.
We understand that traffic impacts and construction noise outside of normal work hours can be an inconvenience and we apologize in advance and thank you for your patience. We are working closely with the City of Westminster and have notified them of the schedule.
