Sewer Construction Heading into City of Westminster
Westminster Blvd. between Bolsa Chica Rd. and Rancho Rd.
Starting week of November 30 – Pre-construction activities will include restriping traffic lanes at night followed by installing k-rail concrete barriers during the day to accommodate construction within the center median area.
Starting week of December 7 – Utility investigation, or potholing, will occur in the intersection of Bolsa Chica Rd. and Westminster Blvd. at night.
Day work hours: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Friday
Night work hours: 9 p.m. – 6 a.m., Monday – Friday
Dates and times are subject to change due to operational factors or inclement weather.
What to Expect
- During non-construction work hours, two lanes of travel in each direction will remain
- Expect periodic traffic delays and reduced travel lanes during non-peak traffic hours
- Some sections of work will require night and/or weekend work, additional notice will be provided
- No parking will be allowed on Westminster Blvd. for the duration of the construction project
- Construction work through intersections may require temporary detours

Ongoing Construction
City of Seal Beach – Between Seal Beach Blvd. and Bolsa Chica Rd.
Approximately a 2-miles stretch of sewer pipeline has been installed. Construction continues and will begin to progress into the City of Westminster. In the photo below, excavation and sewer pipe installation is near the Bolsa Chica Rd. intersection.

Project Description:
The project will replace and reconstruct nearly three miles of two parallel 36-inch diameter sewer pipelines on Westminster Boulevard between Seal Beach Boulevard and Rancho Road/Hammon Place in the cities of Seal Beach and Westminster.
This project is within the Western Regional service area.
